Newspaper, a periodical publication containing information regarding current affairs, editorials and advertisement. Newspaper has came about in 1582 in the late Ming dynasty, where news were privately published on newssheets. As time passes, some people believes that newspaper are a thing of the past in this current era. This has became a debatable topic over many as we find out, have newspaper became a thing of the past.
In the 21st Century, the availability of other forms or media, such as TV and Internet, the once highly important newspaper entered a significant and rapid decline in readership over many places across the world. In the internet age, newspaper are no longer a financially profitable business.People prefer to read news online, than carrying a stack of thick papers everywhere they go. Furthermore, newspaper are not generally environmental friendly, as 4.25 trees will be cut down per reader per year across the world. Due to the scarce natural resources available, some may choose other forms of media.
Newspaper, however, provides a much better reading experience to readers compared to reading from a screen, as long period from reading off a screen is bad for the eyes. Also, newspaper is more liberal with truth as compared to Internet news due to the vast variety of writing styles.
The many pros and cons of newspaper still stands as a debatable subjects whether has it became a thing of the past. What is certainly true is that newspaper today has been losing its readership, but does it mean newspaper no longer has a place in this fast developing landscape?

A VIVID AND MEANINGFUL DREAM
The thundering hooves sound of hundred horses gallops and the strong wind brushed through my face as I rode on a strong and magnificent black horse. Riding as quickly as I could to run away from the soldiers that chased me, I never stop to even catch my breath, as I rode away into the deep forest. Without knowing where exactly my destination was, suddenly I was shot by an arrow from behind and lost conscious after losing too much blood. When I regained my consciousness, I find myself waking up in a small and dark old room, floors that was layed with hay, with dim lights that pass through the narrow wooden poles the acts as a door or barrier that was locked with a big bronze lock. I knew that I was arrested by the military soldiers.
I was glad to find a few of my refugee mates with me. worried sick were us, as we discuss what our judgements might be. Early the next morning, we were dragged out of our cell and lead to a tunnel that seemed to be an exit to the prison, where we were blocked by a huge gate. I saw many audience cheering and haling to their king. Not long after the king arrive at his throne, the gates opened as we were forced out into a stadium size ground with thousands of audience watching us. Without knowing what was going on, a loud trumpet sound sounded, and the king stood up to make a speech, "Welcome my people, to our annual sacrificial festival to our god. Today is the day when we will make sacrificial offerings to our gods for the boundless blessings that we may receive!","without further a do, let us present our gods!" Suddenly another two gates opened as two ferocious and hungry tigers pounced out from the exit of the dark tunnels, and came toward us. We ran for our lives as the tigers never stop to give chase. A few of us who were behind was bitten and clawed as they fell to the ground. Just as the tigers were about to make a feast out of my friends, I picked up a sharp twig from the ground and ran towards one of the tiger. I pierced the stick right into the tiger as blood spurt out from it's stomach. The other tiger that seen what happened, ran away back into the tunnel.
A loud gasp sound was made from the thousands of audience as they saw me killed the tiger. That moment of courage and split second reaction, saved me and my friends from being eaten by the tigers. I was surprised of what I thought might be impossible for me to ever accomplish. Just when thousands of audience cheered for me, the sound of my alarm clock pierced through my ears, and I woke up and realised that it was just a dream.
From this dream I have learnt that nobody is able to realise what they are capable of unless they brace their courage and be daring to try, anything will be possible.
